HOSPITALITY

These days, hospitality has been lost in the hustle and bustle of living. We have become so busy with just getting by that we have lost sight of the importance of building and maintaining relationships. Even the books written about hospitality have older copyright dates and are selling on Amazon.com for pennies. People just don’t seem interested in each others lives anymore. Rarely do we extend an invitation to our neighbors, co-workers or fellow parishioners. We lose touch with people. We wait for the phone to ring. We are lonely. We rarely, if ever, reach beyond our own family and into the lives of others. Romans 12:13 says to ‘Practice hospitality.’

Whether you spend all day cooking in preparation for your guests, or you welcome them with freshly brewed tea and a box of cookies, my hope is that you will open your heart and your home and offer hospitality, friendship and kindness to those in need of relationship.
