Posted by Melissa at 9:26 am in Contests, Stuff, teapots

Hello Lovelies. I’m giving away this delicious looking strawberry metal teapot. It is for decorative purposes only. I will be drawing from the names of people who have left me a comment in the month of July. Any comment past or present until 07/31. The drawing will be held the first week of August. You may go back and comment on any posting to qualify.

Good luck to all!

Here is my selection, yes, selection of teapots for this week’s blog-a-thon from La Tea Dah. I posted a variety because it is so hard to choose a favorite. I use them all depending on my mood, and I have not even shown you all of them.
Which is your favorite?

Yesterday’s Tea
Posted by Melissa at 6:30 am in Tea, decorating, teapots

The tea may be over, but my aches and pains are just beginning! My church did a remodel and the sanctuary and kitchen are no longer next to each other, but doooooown the hall and across the way. Not much of a walk under normal conditions, but quite the haul when one is walking back and forth over and over preparing for an event. That said, I think it all went rather well. The ladies enjoyed themselves, the teachings were fantastic and everything looked and tasted great. Here are some pictures of the tables and of the lady doing what I guess is praise dancing? The dancing was very moving and beautiful.

Isn’t she pretty? Should I name her? I have been wanting to try this kind of teapot for a while now but just could not justify the price tag. I am not a full price kinda gal. Thursday when I was at Ross doing last minute shopping for the ladies tea today (more on that later,I’m just too tired right now) I spotted three cast iron teapots, this one, and two smaller ones. Tonight, after dinner, I drug Tech Hubby to Ross to see what was left and if he wanted to get whichever one was still on the shelf. This one was left, he liked it and it came home with us. I will try it out first thing int he morning. Maybe, since it has a bamboo motif, I should call it, ‘Bambi”. What do you think?
