My first tilt shift attempt

You can get a tilt shift lens for a couple of grand, or, you can do the effects yourself in photoshop or in my case, GIMP. I tried reading and following the instructions provided on line, but form the screen shots, it looks like his GIMP is a bit different from mine and/or I just couldn’t make heads or tails form most of it because I’m not proficient in GIMP.

Here are some examples of really great tilt shift photos. Not done by me! Remember, these are photos of real things and real places. They are made to appear to be scale models because of either the lens used or manipulation of the photo.

It’s a Small World after all.

I thought I would treat you to a Flickr tour today. I made adjustments to my blog on how many post could be viewed per page so more pictures would show up, but you will still need to tab through the blog to see them all. Happy surfing!
p.s. Many things to comment on, hint, hint!
