Gay bands and evangelical pastors at his inauguration.

Joe Solomnese, a ‘human rights’ leader opposes the idea of Warren speaking at the inauguration calling it a, ‘genuine blow’ to the gay community. See, the thing about some ‘human rights’ advocates is they only care about their rights and not the rights of all humans which means suppression of Christians and our rights. It appears that in his quest for ‘human rights’, Mr. Solomnese would want Reverend Warren silenced a clear violation of Warren’s right to free speech guaranteed in the constitution and threatened by ‘human rights’ activists. See the dangerous double standard?

Each year there are many homicides from senseless gun violence in America and perhaps more astounding is the fact that 30% of those crimes go unsolved. Many of these cases could be solved if ammunition coding technology were implemented.’

Well, it sounds good on paper, as do most pie in the sky neo-liberal ideals, but actually implementing it is unconstitutional (which is very neo-liberal), costly and ineffective, essentially a nightmare for non-violent gun owners which are most gun owners. Unfortunately, the folks at Ammunition Accountability really believe that criminals will use coded bullets thereby making crimes easier to solve. Perhaps these people have never heard of the black market. Perhaps they do not realize that persons determined to commit untraceable crimes will seek out and steal other people’s coded bullets or simply break into gun stores and steal them. Wake up, people! Stop being so naive and stop interfering in other people’s lives. This is just another example of foolish people making foolish laws. All of we law abiding citizens will have to pay more for our ammo and make sure it doesn’t fall into criminal hands (which I will probably need my hand gun to defend my home against those seeking out my coded bullets so they can commit crimes in my name). Also, I’m sure that the unfortunate person who has their coded bullets form them will be immediately sued by a shooting victim for ‘allowing’ their bullets to fall into the wrong hands.

I can just hear it now, ‘well, if Mr. So&so had not had bullets in his home, and if they had not been stolen by Mr. Criminal, Mr. Victim would never have been shot so Mr. So&so is guilty twice, once for the victims injuries and once for enabling the criminal to commit the crime.’

Augh! Here’s how it should be, every American citizen is issued a hand gun, taught how to use it and made responsible for it. Let’s really even the playing field. There are entire cities (right here in the US) where this is done and the crime rates are low. Gee wonder why? Let’s form a government funded committee to find out why or, we can use our God given common sense and realize that a well armed society is a polite and law abiding society.

fem·i·nism Listen to the pronunciation of feminism
Pronunciation:

1 : the theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes 2 : organized activity on behalf of women’s rights and interests
fem·i·nist Listen to the pronunciation of feminist \-nist\ noun or adjective
fem·i·nis·tic Listen to the pronunciation of feministic \ˌfe-mə-ˈnis-tik\ adjective
Social equality of the sexes. that’s the past definition of feminism in 1895. Over a hundred years later, should it read differently? Darker perhaps?
Feminism: the desire to silence men and turn them into women because it’s just easier to tear people down than build yourself up and hey, isn’t it just the new American way to shut people up who oppose your beliefs if you can’t indoctrinate them (read; brain wash them) into goose stepping to the beat of your drummer?
I am so sick of the social and religious attack on men. Feminists, please stop blaming men and God for all your problems.
To Susan K. Smith, in response to her anti-male diatribe on 10/21/2008: get over it. God is a man. God is not a he/she, him/her. He is a He, a Him. The voice of God is the bible. If you have issues with the bible, you have issues with God. Doug Easterday is touring the country giving talks about, The Father Heart of God. Perhaps you should invite him to your church to give a little talk on how we, as faulty human non-deities, can mess up our perceptions of God based on our experiences and not on the facts presented in the bible.
From Susan’s post:

The way religion teaches things, women are second, maybe third rate citizens of the Kingdom. In fact, the way religion is taught, the only people with full freedom are men. The underlying message of religion is that we women were put here for one reason: to have babies, and to do the bidding of the men.

I have never felt like a third rate citizen for being a Christian woman. I have never felt sex was ‘bad’ or ‘dirty’ but it does belong in one setting and one setting only, between a married man and woman in their marriage bed. have you read the Song of Solomon? Do you understand that marriage is a living example here on earth of our relationship with God in heaven? How committed are you to enduring through the hard times?
Another excerpt from Susan’s post:

I cannot believe in the God that traditional religion has taught. Religion has kept us bound, frightened, uptight, abused and unhappy. Religion for the most part has not empowered us at all, but instead kept us under a yoke that only gets heavier and heavier.

It is in knowing the truth that we will be set free. You must know the truth and the truth is what is inside your bible. While there are some misguided individuals (you are high on my list as being one, Susan) who misinterpret the bible for their own gain especially in the arena of sin, God’s word never changes. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow by His own mouth, He never changes! Woohoo! Praise God!

I thank God for men. I thank God for my husband and the that as the head of our house, there are some burdens he carries that I do not have to even think about because I know I can count on him. I know he’s got my back.

At the end of Susan’s post are these words: ‘Oh, to be loosed!’

If you’re anti-male and cannot accept God as a man because you are too filled with hate and too wounded to allow men to be who they were created to be, then you do need to ‘be loosed’. I pray you find and receive the healing you seem to need. Notice I said ‘receive’. Some folks have healing standing right in front of them but never reach out because accepting the healing they need would end a perfectly good ‘hate-on’ and then what would they rail against?

If you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go hug my husband now and tell him how much I respect him.

Well, I’ll be the first to admit I was skeptical about alcohol fuel. I was certain that the rising costs of corn would starve the poorest of nations who depend upon corn as a major food supply and that it would be unethical to grow food for fuel. I’ve changed my mind and now I’m wondering how I can get my hands on land to start my own fuel farm a la David Blume. What changed my mind, being more informed about the facts and two specific things that I watched. The first was the movie king Corn wherein I learned that most of the corn grown for commercial purposes is inedible, even by the cows being fed this corn in feed lots which is why they must be given antibiotics so that they can live long enough to go to market. No worries about starving people if the corn is in edible to begin with. First problem solved. The second thng I watched was this video:http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5182282754145092406.

Please, take the time to watch the above video.

In this video, David Blume makes some great arguments for alcohol fuel and how to grow more plants on our land thereby utilizing our resources more efficiently. Alcohol fuel is better for the environment as it removes carbon dioxide from the air. Alcohol fuel may be made from a variety of plants, not just corn. All cars were run on alcohol fuel at first as were most lighting systems in people’s homes before gasoline came along.

A renewable, clean burning fuel. Let’s make it happen.

On October 29th of this year, several Christians went to lay hands on the statue of the Wall Street Bull. Their actions raised a few eyebrows, to-say-the-least, but I have yet to find a story that explains what they were doing and why without a mocking, accusatory tone and references to worshiping golden calves.

Laying on of hands has a very specific and biblical purpose (see the above referenced scripture from Bible Gateway) However, see the 3rd one down? 1 Timothy 5:22. Were the people who went to the Wall Street Bull being hasty?

1 Corinthians 8:13
Therefore, if what I eat causes my brother to fall into sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause him to fall.

Do you know why this verse cautions the apostles against eating meat? It wasn’t because Paul thought they should all be vegetarians. No. It was because some Christians were eating meat that had been offered up to pagan gods. Unbelievers as well as baby Christians, those new to the faith who sometimes get confused and get things wrong (we’ve all been there) thought that those who were eating the meat were also worshiping the pagan gods to whom the meat had been offered. Not so. The mature Christians were all, ‘hey, meat is meat and I like a good BBQ.’ They didn’t care where the meat came from because they knew it had no power nor did the gods to whom it was being offered. They were not sinning by eating the meat.

Fast forward to 2008 and a handful of enthusiastic believers head to an inanimate object, lay hands on it to pray and all of a sudden they are idol worshiping pagans. Not so. This is the thing about the internet and media in general that can be so frustrating. Anyone with internet access and an opinion can write an article without checking the facts. I think it just gives mean people with a limited vocabulary a chance to be intolerant and call those they hate, names in a feeble and unimaginative attempt at being clever. It is clear by reading this poorly written articles just how little the writer’s understood about what the Christians were trying to do. Some of the articles I read even referenced each other as a source without bringing fresh perspective into play. Well, here, read what Cindy Jacobs was really trying to do. I applaud the fact that not only was she willing to do more about the economic situation than just sit around and complain about it, but she was also rallying other believers to get involved and to be more pro-active. I think that, because of where we are as a nation and where the majority of people are in their faith, this may not have been the best way to go. I’m all for prayer. I’m all for laying on of hands, but when it comes across as religious hocus pocus and opens up Christianity for more ridicule and persecution, the plan was not executed as well as it could have been.

Prayer Needed for Global Economies

In January of this year, Cindy Jacobs was in a worship service when the Lord spoke to her, “Cindy, the strongman over America doesn’t live in Washington, DC – the strongman lives in New York City! Call My people to pray for the economy.”

This word so shook Cindy; she knew she had to call the people of God to converge on New York City the week of October 29 for an emergency prayer rally to cry out against economic collapse in the midst of shaking. Read full article HERE

Dear Intercessors,

As the 2008 elections approach and economic uncertainties abound, the Lord is calling His people to be proactive and tactical in their intercession. In response to the call of the Lord, I am issuing two days of focused prayer, the first being A Day of Prayer for the World’s Economies, taking place October 29, 2008.

A Day of Prayer for the World’s Economies is centered around strategic prayer for the markets, banks and financial institutions of the world. As you know, October 29th marks the day that the stock market of the United States crashed in 1929, birthing a grave economic depression. Read article Here

Also, here is a link to go to the prayers Cindy recommended for Oct. 29th. I think they are things that we all could incorporate into our prayer life to help us be a bit more proactive instead of reactive. LINK

Last, but not least, remember to pray for the president elect. Also, the electoral part of the vote still has not been counted. Nothing is official until after November 15th. We can still pray for a different out come of the election.

He isn’t even in office yet and it is already starting. Our treasury system, yes ours, the good ol’ US of A, is kowtowing to Shariah law. I cannot post the entire article here because of copyright laws, but please, please go and read the whole thing and call, email or write your congress person to protest this abomination.

Here are a couple of excerpts from the article.

As this enthusiasm for SCF ramps up in Washington officialdom, it is worth recalling a lesson from “across the pond.” Earlier this year, the head of the Church of England, Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams, provoked a brief but intense firestorm of controversy with his declaration that it was “unavoidable” that Shariah would be practiced in Britain. Largely unremarked was the reason he gave for such an ominous forecast: The U.K. had already accommodated itself to Shariah-Compliant Finance.

After all, the object of Shariah is the supplanting of our government and Constitution, through violent means if possible and, until then, through stealthy ones. Islamists, having secured footholds via their parallel societies, inevitably use those to extend their influence over Muslims who have no more interest in living under authoritative Islam’s Shariah than the rest of us do. Inexorably, it becomes the turn of non-Muslims to accommodate themselves to ever more intrusive demands from the Islamists. It is known as submission, or dhimmitude.
