Looking for unique ideas for your next tea party? Check out THIS. I have been following Natasha’s creative journey for about a year now. I have always been entertained and amazed at her creativity and, she is genuinely kind and a joy to talk to and has a cutie pie little boy to boot! Why not go, ‘down under’ (she lives in Australia) for some inspiration and a respite from the day?
I purchased a Broyhill chair at a garage sale yesterday. It needs some TLC, but when I’m done, it will go nicely in my office. So for today at least, have a nice cuppa and a cookie and we’ll resume Chesterton next Monday.
Happy Sipping!

I’m looking for these to try the next time I enjoy my green or oolong tea. These are consumed during tea ceremonies instead of putting sugar in your tea.

I thought I’d share some of my Flicker Favs while I’m waiting for Tech Hubby to grill the steaks. If you click on the links below the pictures, they will take you to the rest of this persons photo stream.
I went over to my mom’s house this morning to hang out with her while she painted one of her walls. It turned out great! While is was there, one of her dogs, his name is D.O.G., started to shake. Come to find out, he was hearing some far off thunder our mere human ears couldn’t pick up. He got so nervous, he started to vomit. Mom couldn’t get him to the door fast enough and some of it landed on the head of his sister who had run to the door with us thinking it was time to go out. I was laughing so hard, and it was so gross! We got his sister, Callie, cleaned up, gave him some puppy downers to make through the thunder storm and mom went back to painting her wall. Nerver a dull moment at mom’s!

I love good packaging. The lovely and unusual especially. This lovely angel once held miniature chocolate tea cookies. I bought her two Christmases ago. Are you attracted to packaging? So much money goes into research on what types of colors and designs on packages are most likely to make us buy the product. As the saying fes,’The Eye Buys’!
The tea may be over, but my aches and pains are just beginning! My church did a remodel and the sanctuary and kitchen are no longer next to each other, but doooooown the hall and across the way. Not much of a walk under normal conditions, but quite the haul when one is walking back and forth over and over preparing for an event. That said, I think it all went rather well. The ladies enjoyed themselves, the teachings were fantastic and everything looked and tasted great. Here are some pictures of the tables and of the lady doing what I guess is praise dancing? The dancing was very moving and beautiful.

I had had a hope ‘chest’ for years. I started collecting things for it when I was in my senior year of high school. It was more of a collection of things to use when I loved out on my own, though, than things to be saved for my marriage. Good thing too because I didn’t get married until I was 37! lol When the big announcement was made or even while my husband and I were still dating, my mother made several things which I use, but cherish. Some embroidered pillow cases and ea towels, two of the tea towels I think someone helped themselves to as I can no longer find them. They may have walked off at a pot luck. This breaks my heart, not because of course of a monetary value, but because my mother now has arthritis in her fingers and can not make new ones to replace those which have been taken. I do still have one of the tea towels she made. It has a pretty blue teapot decoration and, yes, it does get used. I figure I may as well use my cute things as they probably would be sold at an estate sale when I die and someone else would use them for me later if I don’t use them now. Here it is.

Here, not at all tea related, is a picture of some, ‘girls’ sunning themselves in a neighbor’s yard. I think it’s funny that two of them hopped the fence to lay in the grass (one was just out of camera range behind the building which is why you can’t see her).
