While many in our nation celebrate today, those of us who have a deeper understanding of the impact such events have in the spiritual realm, are mourning. Now, more than ever, we must come together in prayer. I am praying that churches will finally become united and show their strength and once again align themselves with God and stop being mere social clubs. We need to continue to pray for our leadership. As we enter into the season of the celebration of the birth of Christ, remember:

Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Also remember:

Proverbs 21:1
The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD; he directs it like a watercourse wherever he pleases.

Whether or not Obama acknowledges this, it still applies to him. As those who voted for him realize their folly, there will be much sadness, disappointment and doubt in themselves and in their chosen leader. Please, pray for those who voted for him that they would not despair when the hard times come, but that they would draw close to the Lord, reach out to others to comfort and be comforted.

PRAY:

For safety over Mr. Obama and his family.

That Obama would hear and heed the voice of the Lord through the Holy Spirit.

Churches would come together and that churches and Christians would become the resources for those in need and sources of comfort and support in the hard times ahead.

ACTS 2:46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Titus 2:14
who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.

Continue to pray for mercy on America, especially when Obama passes extreme abortion rights bills and over rides the people’s votes on allowance of homosexual marriage. Pray that these changes never happen.

2 Chronicles 7:14
if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
