“Those who give up freedom for security, deserve neither.” Ben Franklin. I paraphrase, but the meaning is the same. There is a new machine at Denver International Airport. It sees you naked. yes, naked, as in no clothes, completely nude, nekked for those of you from east Texas.
Are you okay with this? I’m not. Why are we not being given the chance to vote about such invasive technology? You do not know the background, mental stability, or moral composition of the person behind the monitor. A man, a woman, looking at you, looking at your spouse and children. First, the airports, then, when people get ‘used’ to the idea of being viewed naked by strangers, what next? The mall? Restaurants? Museums? When and where does it end? We already have one in the entrance to the courtroom in my city. Oh, joy. Victim of a crime and need to testify, they’re going to see you naked. Flying to visit mom for the holidays? They are going to see you naked. need to pick up some milk and eggs? One day soon, they are going to see you naked.
We do not have to put up with this. Whatever happened to civil disobedience? What happened to our rights? We are told this sort of invasive, ‘protection’ is for our own good. I don’t feel good about it. I feel violated. I feel like, mmm, maybe we should all get together and stop traveling by plane. I feel like selling my condo in Mexico so I don’t have to deal with the nanny state America is turning in to. Let some schmuck who likes having their rights stripped away in the name of false security get ogled by a TSA. No thank you.

This is just absurd. I had not heard this. What about children and teens? Do you think a true terrorist would stop at making a child hide a weapon on their person?
This has GOT to stop!
