My sister and b-i-l have a condo up in Keystone. They invited me and Tech Hubby to join them over Labor Day weekend. They are so nice, they even let us sleep in the big king sized bed! I love going to Keystone. No matter what road you take, you’re sure to come across great photo opportunities. Our camera is on the fritz right now and, yes, I am having withdrawal pains. I love the flowers planted in River Run, the town just outside the condo.
There was an art festival in Breckenridge. Wow. My paintings look like they were done by an ADD 5 year old compared to what I saw at the festival. Why, why do people insist on bringing their dogs to things like this? Some times it was harder to get through the throngs of dogs than it was the crowds of people!
Last, but not least, the part that gives me my blog title today. Sis and I were hot tubbing this morning, yeah it’s a rough life but someone has to live it, may as well be me, and I picked the hot tub farthest from the main door because the one closest to it had a bug floating around in the water. Brother-in-law comes over and tells us how he and this other guy saw something swimming in the hot tub this morning. The hot tub my sis and I were now occupying.
“Yeah, we thought it was a frog or something. We got closer and saw it was a mouse. We grabbed the net, fished it out and flung it over the fence into the field.”
Now, you know he could have told us before we went down not to use the hot tub on the left because it had been used by a mouse, but noooo, being a man, and a pesky brother-in-law, he waited until we had been in the water for twenty minutes.
I don’t know how that poor mouse ended up in the hot tub, I’m sure it was scared. I don’t feel any sudden urges for cheese or to go and scare some elephants. I like to think he crawled in for a morning soak before heading out for a long day of gathering supplies to store for the long winter ahead.
Mouse tea aside, she really does have a nice condo, and things happen. Want to go see it and maybe book a ski trip this year?
There’s the link.
