It is so odd to have rain without thunder and lightning. Usually when it rains we have quite a light show. We are so unaccustomed to this much rain in Colorado, that when I went to D.C. a few years ago, it took me a sec to realize the canister looking things by the doors inside the shops were for umbrellas. I thought they were so quaint! lol Usually, the weather around here is like a passionate night with your husband. The last few days though, it’s been more like an epic novel. Great in the beginning, but when will it ever end?

I’m going to charge up the camera batteries. Maybe there will be something good to take a picture of on the way to church. Who knows with all this water running around.

Update on women’s ministry leadership position. Tech Hubby and I had breakfast with Pastor the other day. It went well. He didn’t say yes, but he didn’t say no either. He doesn’t know me as well as he knows T.H.

He did ask me to tell him my story. Yikes! I don’t enjoy talking about myself. I like to talk, but usually I get the other person to ’spill it’ so that I don’t have to! I’m going to talk to the associate pastor about doing a soup and salad event in September for the ladies. I figure we’ll keep it light and casual. I have surveys I printed off the internet so the ladies can tell us what they want from a ladies ministry.

UPDATE:Tech Hubby and I went out to lunch with friends after church. Oooohhhhh, my aching stomach! Something is not going down without a fight. He is also sick.
