Six Glaciers Teahouse

I was watching a show on PBS last night called: Great Lodges of the Canadian Rockies. Aside from the Banff which was magnificent, one that stuck out in my mind was the Six Glaciers Teahouse. There are no pictures of it on line and it is not necessarily a spectacular structure like the Banff, but there is just something about it that appealed to me. They have no electricity or hot water, but no phones to ring and distract them or steal them away from the beauty of the Rockies and quiet contemplation. I’d love to go there, or back to Bubba’s without all those people being there, sucking up the quiet. I enjoyed meeting and being with the people who were there, to a point. Then, I would have loved being there alone with Tech Hubby.

  1. Hey, I came by to thank you for my first blog birthday well wishes and I spotted this post! My family’s publishing company has published a companion book to that series on PBS on Great Lodges that you might enjoy. This particular book was just released, there are others as well. Here is the link (although this might send me over into spam!): http://www.amazon.com/Great-Lodges-National-Parks-Two/dp/0882407376/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1215751145&sr=8-2

Thanks so much for being a blogging friend!

    Happy day,
    Melissa
