Goodbye, Tasha
Posted by Melissa at 10:00 pm in Art, Tea, Writing

I am sad to tell you, Tasha Tudor has passed away. If you do not know who she is, please take a moment to visit her website, or her memorial website. Among other things, she recently auctioned off a large collection of antique dresses she used to let her friends try on, to their great delight, and I’m sure hers. Tasha was a gifted illustrator, grew her own food, had a small farm, hand dipped her own beez wax candles and always had afternoon tea at 4:00p.m. every day.

It ended well tonight although somewhere in the middle, I did try and kick out my guests. I did end up having a revelation on something I’d been trying to do lately. In an attempt to not feel totally out of control (things aren’t going so well career wise) I had been trying to control meaningless inconsequential things, and pretty much everything my husband was doing.

Lord, now that I know what is going on, help me to give up control to You, to place my trust in You. Increase my faith and decrease my waist. I know every good thing comes from You and you have my best interests at heart.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Stacy L. Harp

I had the pleasure of sharing time and lunch with a lady whose work in Christian activism I admire, Stacy L. Harp. She is one of the voices of reason in the often, maddening and illogical din of those who work toward getting special rights and privileges for persons living the homosexual lifestyle.

We need more people in the Christian community to speak out and have their voice heard. We are being too compliant, standing by silently while our rights and constitutionally (used to be) guaranteed freedoms continue to be stripped away.

Please go to her site and read about the truth.

I’m headed off to finish up some things for home group tonight.

My Visit to the Denver Art Museum

The art museum is partially responsible for redeeming Denver. Art and a strong pot of tea can help a gal get over almost any trauma if it’s not too severe.

Remember, clicking on an image will enlarge it for better viewing.
