Recognize him? He was our first President. Yes, this is George Washington. No matter his flaws, he was still a great man, and a great American. In recent years, it has become quite popular to point out the flaws of our most beloved historical figures in an attempt to dim the shining examples of their accomplishments. No matter their flaws, God was still able to use our founding fathers to secure our freedom and religious rights. Even the bible is filled with flawed men who did great things. They were still loved by God and used by Him. Some He even referred to as being ‘after His own heart’. If you are waiting until you are perfect before giving your self over to the plans God has for your life, stop standing on the bank of the River of Life, and jump in!
