W.W.A.D. What Would Annie Do?

Did you know, that Annie Oakley was a Victorian LADY? She was not a hard talking, fast living, un-ladylike woman who wanted to be ‘one of the boys’. She was dainty, genteel, well spoken, a lady through and through. She was also an advocate of women being armed. At all times.

In the wake of yet another mass shooting, I hope the voice of reason will prevail. I truely believe, that had there been another armed student at either university, well trained in the use of their weapon, that, as in the case of the New Life shooting, the shooter would have been taken down before so much destruction and devastation had occurred. History has proven that restrictions on guns do not prevent gun violence. You don’t need a gun to kill people. You could kill someone with your bare hands, a kitchen knife, etc. If someone is determined to kill, they will. Whether or not they are armed with a gun.

Please, let us not act out of fear and anger. The knee jerk reaction is to tighten gun control. That is not the answer. I believe that the impersonal way in which we all live, contributes to the violence that permeates our schools and open areas. We do not view each other as humans. We do not treat each other as we would like, demand, to be treated.

Do not allow your right to bear arms be taken away or restricted. Once one right goes, it opens the door for the rest of them to be taken away.
