It’s Tea Tuesday

Hello all my tea loving friends out there. I hope you are all staying sane during the Christmas season.

The other day, I went to a tea tasting. Of course, I would have done it differently. We all have our own ideas on how to do things, don’t we? I tried teas with peppercorns in them and lemon grass bits of wheat and cacao. I’ve never before  had tea with peppercorns in it. It was good. A bit odd at first with the peppercorns warming up the back of my mouth and throat.

Did you know, that green tea should be steeped in cooler water than black tea? Wait for the bubbles to stop and let the water rest/cool a bit. Steep longer than black tea and taste it first before adding sugar. I would recommend not adding milk to your green tea.

I finished painting my ornaments. It was a lot of work. We have home group tomorrow night. I’m baking an Asiago cheese and pear pork tenderloin with new potatoes and a salad. I have some left over cinnamon chocolate cake from an event I went to today. I baked it last night and only took half of it to my friend’s house as there were only seven of us sharing it, I knew I could leave some home for tomorrow.
